Our Mat exercise classes are small group classes of 5-8 participants lead by a one of our Physiotherapists in a mat Pilates style format. They run for 45-55 minutes each from our Leopold location within The Birch Room and The KO Creative Studio in Newtown. There are two class styles to choose from: Pre and Postnatal Mat Exercise and Strength Mat Exercise.

Ideal for those wanting to build strength, tone and flexibility. It is also a great complement to your Physio rehab plan through focused evidence based exercise. All classes are lead by one of our trained experienced Physios and customised yo suit you.
Safe for those who are currently pregnant or those who are postnatal and cleared to exercise. These classes are tailored to suit your needs. Our Women's Health Physios will adapt your program to your stage of pregnancy.
If you are new to PhysioPod Co. and have not seen one of our Phyisos, you will need to book a Pre Mat Class Screen appointment. This will provide us with information about your exercise and injury history as well as any limitations and precautions, especially for Pre and Post-Natal participants.
If you are a current Physiotherapy client of PhysioPod Co. or seen one of our Physios in the last 12 months, a Pre Mat Class Screen is not required.
The Pre Mat Class Screen also allows you to claim the exercise classes through your eligible Private Health Insurer.
Payment: Payment will be required in 6 week blocks (eg. for 6 classes at a time). This can be made at the time of your Pre Mat Class Screen or at your first exercise class.
Physio-Led classes are eligible for Private Health Fund rebates if you have Physiotherapy included in your Extras cover. As classes will be pre-paid, you will receive a PDF receipt via email at the completion of each class to then claim back through your health fund.
